During the internship period I primarily analyzed quality assurance reports on area specific incident investigation, identified key areas for improvement and developed an action plan to address the identified gaps for further enhancement. Additionally, I was familiarized with BP Operating Management System, Company 8 Golden Rules and Risk Management Process. Through site visits to Sangachal Terminal and other regional pumping and pigging stations I conducted self-verifications and Risk assessments. Furthermore, I participated at HiPo incident investigation process (particularly at interviews, brain storming and 5 Why tree development). Finally, I also completed numerous computer based training and did participate at tasks assigned to the Terminal Fire Rescue Team.

Tracked process mass and energy balance from central control panel, learned how to deal with problems on-site, while equipment working, and studied complex P&ID diagrams.

Attended lectures on upstream services, trainings and on-site workshops on the oilfield services.

Checked functionality of the laboratory equipment and programming softwares, identified inaccurate instruments and proposed corrections to the laboratory briefs.

Attained knowledge on future oil and gas strategy of Azerbaijan.

Translated news feed from Azerbaijani to English and improved the design of the web page.

Tracked operational condition of a catalytic cracking unit, edited logbook on hourly basis and produced report on unit operation. Gained appreciation of control complexity of the industry.

I was checking equipment in the lecture venues and sharing information on upcoming lectures. I did also conduct a lecture once.

I was in charge of sharing upcoming events in the social media, timetabling events and evaluating applications to the available vacancies.
